Plan Commission finds no model-year restriction for mobile homes at Town & Country Estates

At the May meeting, Chairperson Jan Miller reported on a prior request from resident Jim Hall seeking permission to allow an older mobile home in the Town & Country Estates mobile-home park. The Plan Commission reviewed the village ordinances and "reported that the ordinances do not specify a minimum model year requirement for mobile homes in the mobile home park," so the board took no regulatory action and Jan Miller informed Mr. Hall of the finding.

The minutes indicate the issue was presented for review and that, in the absence of an ordinance provision requiring a minimum model year, the board did not adopt any new restrictions or exceptions. Any future change would require a formal ordinance amendment or different regulatory language to impose model-year limits.
