Fort Lee Parking Authority authorizes talks to operate Hudson Lights Parking Garage

The Fort Lee Parking Authority on Dec. 19, 2025 approved Resolution 2025-83 authorizing its executive director to initiate and conduct discussions with the property owners of the Hudson Lights Parking Garage at 245 Park Avenue about the authority becoming the sole operator of that facility.
The resolution directs Executive Director Hernani Goncalves to gather necessary information, engage in preliminary negotiations and report back to the board with findings and any proposed agreement for further board and legal-counsel review. The board recorded the property as a strategic location for improved parking operations and enhanced service to residents, visitors and local businesses.
The motion to adopt the resolution was made by Commissioner Marc Macri and seconded by Commissioner J. Richard Radoian; it was approved unanimously. The resolution text specifies that "nothing herein shall constitute final approval of any agreement, and all final terms shall be subject to review and authorization by the Board of Commissioners and legal counsel." Mr. Goncalves was recorded as the board member/staff who discussed the resolution during the meeting.
