Danny, speaking for CRA staff, announced that the commercial development loan program application window opened April 15 and will run through May 15; the board has funded up to $10,000,000 for commercial and mixed-use construction projects within project areas, with awards to be distributed by project-area eligibility and competitive review.
Danny also said the affordable housing construction and preservation dashboard has been updated through March 2026 and now reflects two milestones: the city has surpassed 1,000 city-supported family-sized units and 1,000 deeply affordable units. Staff also noted a developer summit on May 19 at Westminster University, co-hosted with Utah Clean Energy and featuring demonstrations on electrifying commercial kitchens.
