Brooks County ISD approves ESC Region 2 LIFT agreement to bolster instructional leadership

The board approved a service agreement with Education Service Center Region 2 to participate in LASO Cycle 4 Leadership and Instructional Foundations for Texas (LIFT). Interim Superintendent Dr. Ricardo Garcia described the LIFT framework as providing targeted professional learning, coaching, and systems support aligned to Texas Education Agency priorities and accountability expectations.
Administration recommended approval and the board voted 7–0 to accept the agreement, citing anticipated benefits to district and campus leadership capacity and instructional alignment.
