The Blandford Select Board on May 4 unanimously approved a slate of appointments for the 2026–27 municipal year, moving to fill several administrative and public-safety posts.
"MOTION: J. Coury made a motion to appoint Kelli Pontbriand as Accountant for the Town of Blandford for the term July 01, 2026, through June 30, 2027," the minutes record. Chair J. Coury made the motion and Member T. Cousineau seconded; the Board recorded the outcomes as all in favor for each appointment.
In addition to Kelli Pontbriand as town accountant, the Board appointed Mathew Ripley as Assistant Wiring Inspector and Nathan Kowalczyk as Wiring Inspector. Jason Forgue was appointed Building Inspector. The Board also appointed Jennifer Dubiel as Police Chief for the Chester/Blandford Police Department and separately appointed Dubiel as the town’s Animal Control Officer for the same term. Finally, the Board named Jennifer Girard Blandford’s Safety Director for July 1, 2026 through June 30, 2027.
Each appointment was moved by J. Coury and seconded by T. Cousineau and recorded as approved by the attending Board members. The appointments will take effect on July 1, 2026.
