Fort Lee Parking Authority to take ownership of EV chargers after $7,200 settlement with Shell

The Fort Lee Parking Authority approved Resolution 2025-60 on Oct. 28, 2025 resolving outstanding Charging Station Lease Agreements. The agreements, originally entered with Volta Charging, LLC and now succeeded by Equilon Enterprises LLC d/b/a Shell, will terminate effective Dec. 31, 2025. Under the settlement Shell will pay the Authority $7,200 and transfer ownership of the existing charging equipment to the Authority.
Executive Director Hernani Goncalves discussed the settlement before the board moved and voted. Commissioner Richard Radoian moved the resolution; Commissioner Patricia Rumi seconded and the motion passed unanimously. The minutes record the termination date, the payment amount of $7,200, and the transfer of equipment to the Authority.
