Fort Lee Parking Authority raises executive director salary to $192,500 and adopts PTO policy

The Fort Lee Parking Authority on Dec. 9 approved a salary increase for Executive Director Hernani Goncalves, setting his salary at $192,500 effective Jan. 1, 2026. The board’s resolution recognized Goncalves’s appointment in May 2022 and credited his role in recovering operations following pandemic impacts and in securing grant funding and negotiated agreements.
In related personnel policy actions, the board established a Paid Time Off (PTO) plan replacing bundled sick, vacation and personal time for both the Executive Director and the Assistant Director, allotting 40 days of PTO per calendar year effective Jan. 1, 2026. Both items were discussed by Mr. Grant and approved by unanimous vote.
