Board adopts Bryan ISD Instructional Strategic Plan and local policy updates

Associate Superintendent of Teaching & Learning Dr. Barbara Ybarra presented the Bryan ISD Instructional Strategic Plan, developed in partnership with Texas Strategic Leadership, and asked the board to consider its approval.
Trustee Julie Harlin moved approval of the instructional plan; the motion passed 5-0 with two trustees absent. Ybarra also presented proposed updates to local board policies, which passed on a subsequent motion by Harlin.
Board members described the plan and policy updates as part of ongoing curricular and governance work; no public commenters addressed these agenda items during the meeting.
