At its June 4 meeting, the Arlington ISD Board of Trustees approved two formal action items by unanimous votes: the 2026–27 Compensation Plan (Option 1) and the 2026–27 Student Code of Conduct. The minutes record the motions and 7–0 votes: "Motion by President McMurrough, seconded by Melody Fowler, to approve option 1 as presented" (compensation) and "Motion by Melody Fowler, seconded by David Wilbanks to approve the 2026-2027 Student Code of Conduct as Presented."
The board also approved a consent agenda covering multiple items: minutes of prior meetings; purchases and bids greater than $100,000; personnel recommendations (new hires, retirements, resignations, leaves, dismissals, non-renewals and non-extensions); weather and low-attendance waivers; an MOU with the Dallas Holocaust and Human Rights Museum for student field trips; SLAC procurement recommendations; and a 2026–27 dual enrollment MOU with Tarleton State University. The consent motion was "Motion by Vice President Haynes, seconded by Larry Mike. Voting For: 7 Voting Against: 0."
