CFBISD board approves multi-item consent agenda including contract extensions and construction amendments

The Carrollton-Farmers Branch ISD Board of Trustees voted unanimously to approve a broad consent agenda at its Sept. 5, 2024 meeting.
Trustee Kim Brady moved to approve the consent agenda as amended; Trustee Carolyn Benavides seconded. The motion passed 7–0. The approved items included personnel and financial reports, renewal of the TASB Risk Management Fund for unemployment insurance, extensions and new vendor approvals for multiple RFPs (including grocery and catering, library media and outside contracted services), and amendments to Construction Manager At-Risk Contract #2023-10-050 with Jackson Construction and with Crossland Construction. The minutes also record approvals of several sets of minutes from August meetings.
The motion that took the consent agenda included the removal of item 5F for separate consideration; item 5N had been struck earlier during the pre-meeting. The minutes record the consent-agenda motion and the final tally of seven votes in favor and zero opposed.
