The Canutillo ISD Board of Trustees approved the consent agenda on Oct. 22, 2024, adopting routine business items including the September 2024 donations report, September 2024 budget amendments, an agency affiliation agreement with El Paso Community College (EPCC), an interlocal agreement with El Paso Juvenile Justice Alternative Education Program for 2024-25, an agreement with the City of El Paso for a mass prophylaxis closed point of dispensing (POD) under a Texas Department of State Health Services grant, and a memorandum of understanding with the Higher Education Coordinating Board to provide counselors access to Apply Texas Counselor Suite.
Trustee Barnes moved approval of the consent agenda with the exception of item 7.C.3; Trustee Mendoza seconded and the motion passed. Item 7.C.3 (Gallagher Benefits Contract Amendment) was discussed separately: Mrs. Carrasco addressed trustee questions about the changes and Trustee Mendoza moved to approve, seconded by Mr. Simental; the motion passed. The minutes record all motions as passing by the trustees present.
