Omak council sets March 16 public hearing for Park, Recreation and Open Spaces Plan

The Omak City Council voted unanimously on March 2 to set a public hearing for March 16, 2026, on the City of Omak Park, Recreation and Open Spaces Plan. Contract Planner Kurt Danison presented a draft and said the prior plan has expired.
Danison told the council that the Park Board conducted tours and a public survey and that the document lays out action plans and capital improvement projects to guide the city's parks over the next six years. "This will guide the city for the next six years," Danison said, and he encouraged councilmembers and residents to review the plan before the hearing. City staff also noted the city is not seeking Recreation and Conservation Office grant funding for this plan cycle.
