The Canutillo ISD Board of Trustees approved its consent agenda, which bundled routine business and several contracts. Highlights included acceptance of the August 2024 donations report, budget amendments for August, approval to auction surplus items on Oct. 9, 2024, approval of an MOU with Region 19 for the Human Trafficking Youth Prevention Education (HTYPE) program, and an interlocal agreement with the University of Texas at Austin for the 2024-2025 OnRamps dual-enrollment program.
Notable procurement approvals on the consent agenda included awarding RFP 2025-15 for the Canutillo High School serving line renovation to National Restaurant Supply in the amount of $305,561.88, and approving a contract with JSJD Media, LLC dba School Revenue Partners for a web advertising revenue-share agreement. The board also authorized administration to enter architectural design services contracts for bond projects with multiple firms (DLR Group Inc. of Texas; GA Architecture Inc.; Mijares-Mora Architects Inc.; MNK Architects Inc.; Pfluger Architects Inc.). The motion to approve the consent agenda was made by Mr. Simental and seconded by Trustee Blanca Trout; all trustees voted in favor.
