Burleson ISD board grants president authority to approve interim hires

On Nov. 11, 2024, the Burleson Independent School District Board of Trustees voted unanimously to give Board President Jerri McNair the authority to approve new hires between the November and December regular meetings. The motion was made by Mr. Michael Ancy and seconded by Mrs. Staci Eisner.
Mr. Ancy moved that the board "grant the Board President the authority to approve new hires between now and the next Regular meeting in December." The board recorded seven yeas and no nays. Trustees said any individuals hired under this temporary authority will be presented for ratification at the board's December meeting.
