Superintendent reports three resignations and outlines near-term hiring plans

During the superintendent’s report the superintendent said the district received three resignations: Paula Cole, a special education teacher at York Middle School; Kristen Moore, a tech teacher at York High School; and Ryan Ridley, the community assistant and auditorium manager.
The superintendent said there are applicants for several openings and that the district plans to interview three candidates for the auditorium/manager position on Aug. 13. She said the district will likely advertise an assistant manager after filling the manager role and expects to hire a technology director and a facilities manager soon.
Board members asked about staffing at the York Community Assistant (YCA) program; the superintendent said YCA is currently unstaffed and that the district will request a 5% cost-center transfer to cover the manager position if necessary.
