Trustees approve Phase 4 HVAC construction documents for Baker Elementary, direct Huseman Builders to price work

The Board of Trustees of Canadian ISD on Sept. 16 approved construction documents for Phase 4 of the HVAC replacement at Baker Elementary and authorized Huseman Builders to begin pricing the work.
"I move to approve the construction documents for Phase 4 of the HVAC Project as presented," the board recorded. Trustee Bryan Bartlett moved the measure and Trustee Heath Mitchell seconded; the motion passed unanimously (6-0). The board then voted to direct Huseman Builders to begin cost-pricing for the Baker Elementary portion of the replacement project with Trustee Jessica Cowden moving and Trustee Bryan Bartlett seconding.
District administrators presented the project as part of the capital projects report; the minutes note a planned tour of Baker Elementary earlier on the agenda. No dollar amounts or contract terms were included in the minutes; the board’s action authorizes staff to solicit pricing and return to the board with cost estimates and recommended next steps.
