Trustees elect Anita Franco as board president; Uriegas and Doria named officers

The Carrizo Springs Consolidated Independent School District Board of Trustees reorganized its leadership at the Nov. 19 meeting, electing Trustee Anita Franco as board president. Trustee Michael Uriegas nominated Anita Franco for president and Trustee Al Doria seconded the motion; the board approved the nomination 7-0.
Trustees then selected officers for two remaining posts. Trustee Al Doria nominated Trustee Michael Uriegas for vice president and the motion carried 7-0. Trustee Michael Uriegas nominated Al Doria for secretary; that motion likewise carried 7-0. The changes take effect immediately and were recorded in the meeting minutes.
