During the Nov. 18 meeting the Bridge City ISD board received an update from Ms. Patty Collins of the Bridge City ISD Educational Foundation about a new allocation policy to distribute foundation funds and plans for an upcoming Clay Shoot fundraiser. Later in the meeting, trustees approved multiple donations to schools and programs.
Approved donations listed in the minutes include $9,585 from BASF for the Harvard'Family Engagement in Education program and $500 from Mr. Rooter Plumbing Services for Cheer Nationals; the CTE program received $1,000 from Joe and Angelica Balderas for STEM bus supplies; the Varsity Basketball team received $840 from Jared Boudreaux; and several businesses contributed to the high school fishing team and other extracurriculars. The minutes record a motion by Trustee Paul Zoch to approve the donations, seconded by Trustee Mark Anderson, and the motion carried unanimously.
