Chief academic officer Scribe Boehart presented the district’s annual instructional materials allotment and TEA certification, which verifies that the materials the district uses cover 100% of the TEKS and that the district has processes to protect students from harmful content. “This is an annual certification that we do every year,” Boehart said, and asked trustees to accept the certification so the district can upload it to the instructional materials allotment website and access state allotment funds.
Trustees moved to accept the instructional materials allotment report and TEA certification as presented and recorded a voice vote approving the item. Boehart noted the allotment supports materials the district already uses, including specific math and ELAR curricula and future social-studies reviews.
