At its July 13 meeting the Calallen ISD Board approved OPTION C for the 2026–27 compensation plan, granting 1% increases for teachers and 1.5% increases for non‑teacher employees (calculated from pay-plan midpoints). Assistant Superintendent Kelsey Ramos presented Budget Presentation #3 before the board voted to adopt the option.
Chelsea Schulze moved approval and Lori Jo Walker seconded; the motion passed 7-0. The minutes note that the increases will be partially offset by campus and departmental budget cuts and by a planned use of fund balance; the district reserves the right to adjust compensation if legislation or school funding changes.
