The Omak City Council unanimously approved Resolution 19-2026 on Feb. 17 to continue the city's agreement with Axon Industries. Police Chief Dan Christensen told the Council the Community Support and Public Safety Committee reviewed payment options and recommended the AI ERA Plan, which allows an annual payment schedule; he said the cost is included in the police department's 2026 budget.
Member Nattalie Cariker moved to approve continuation of the agreement, Member Steve Clark seconded, and the Council voted unanimously. The minutes do not record the contract's dollar amount or length; Chief Christensen indicated the committee recommended the AI ERA Plan for payment structuring.
