Omak to pursue FAA and state funding for South Taxiway at municipal airport

The Omak City Council voted unanimously on Feb. 17 to approve Resolution 17-2026, authorizing staff to submit funding applications to the Federal Aviation Administration and the Washington State Department of Transportation (Aviation Division) for the South Taxiway construction project at Omak Municipal Airport.
Public Works Director Wayne Beetchenow told the Council the resolution would allow staff to pursue federal and state grant programs to support airport construction. Member Steve Clark moved for approval and Member Nattalie Cariker seconded; the motion passed without objection.
