Burleson ISD Chief Operating Officer Steve Logan told the Board of Trustees Oct. 28 that four campuses completed random intruder detection audits and passed, and that the district’s emergency operations plan (EOP) has been submitted to the Texas School Safety Center for review and approval.
Logan also reported that new cameras are being installed at elementary campuses using awarded grant funds and that School Safety Officers will complete hands-on training in hand-to-hand combat and weapons retention techniques on the next professional development day. The board recorded these items as part of the routine safety-and-security update.
