A staff member said the park's horticulture team, led by Justin Ukena, planted a new flower garden that spells out "KCK." "And our horticulture team led by Justin Ukena, they just planted a brand new flower garden, that actually spells out KCK," the staff member said.
Another staff member described a south-facing hillside KCK sign at St. Margaret's Park, saying, "It is 30 feet tall and 90 feet wide," and that the planting currently consists of perennials and annuals with prairie grass on the outside. Staff said they expect the plantings to continue filling in and to improve in appearance over time.
