Bullard ISD board approves construction guarantees, authorizes CTE vehicle purchases

The Bullard Independent School District Board of Trustees met in regular session on Nov. 11, 2024, at 6:00 p.m. at district administration offices and confirmed a quorum, President Cory Zahirniak said. The board approved a set of construction and governance measures before adjourning at 8:28 p.m.
Among the actions, trustees approved guaranteed maximum prices for two building additions, gave district leaders authority to purchase two Career & Technical Education vehicles not to exceed $140,000, and approved routine consent items including minutes, donations, a class-size waiver and campus improvement plans. Several motions were recorded as carrying 7-0. President Cory Zahirniak stated, "Let the record indicate that a quorum of board members is present, that this meeting is duly called, and that notice of this meeting was posted in accordance with The Texas Open Meeting Act, Texas Government Code, Chapter 551."
