Chester ISD Board approves consent agenda, adopts NIMS

The Chester Independent School District Board of Trustees met Sept. 16 in the district library and unanimously approved a consent agenda that included minutes from the Aug. 19 and Aug. 26, 2024 meetings. Board member Sam Handley moved to approve the consent agenda; Josh Clarke seconded and the board voted its unanimous approval.
The board also voted to adopt the National Incident Management System (NIMS) as the district's incident-management standard. "[The board moved] to consider the adoption of the National Incident Management System (NIMS) as the standardized approach to incident management for Chester ISD," Sam Handley moved; Wade Read seconded and the motion passed unanimously. The meeting adjourned at 7:01 p.m.; the next regular meeting is scheduled for 6:00 p.m. on Oct. 21, 2024.
