Chester ISD board adopts Proposed 2024–25 budget

The Chester Independent School District Board of Trustees voted unanimously Aug. 26 to adopt the Proposed 2024–2025 budget following a presentation by district staff.
"Shawna Neal moved to adopt the Proposed 2024-2025 Chester ISD Budget as presented," and the motion was seconded by Sam Handley and approved by the board. Austin Odom presented the budget materials to trustees before the vote; President Bryan Martin invited public comment and "No one gave public comments." The board did not record any dissenting votes in the public minutes.
The adopted budget will guide district spending for the coming school year. Trustees scheduled their next regular meeting for Sept. 16, 2024. The motion and unanimous vote were recorded in the meeting minutes.
