Hershal Massenburge sworn in as Place 4 trustee; Place 5 to take oath in June

Board President Les Schminkey noted the requirement under Article XVI, Section 1 of the Texas Constitution that elected or appointed state and local officers complete the Statement of Officer form and take the official oath prior to assuming duties. The board recorded that Place 5 trustee Amy Hayes was absent and will complete the required oath and documentation at the June 15, 2026 board meeting.
No formal action beyond the administration of the oath was required at the May meeting.
