Henson provided data: attendance at the end of the year was 94.74%, with a recent dip to 94.18% in the last six weeks; year-end enrollment was 2,219 for 2025-2026 (a difference of four students from a prior reference), with a snapshot enrollment of 2,262 earlier in the year. The district used 192 substitutes in May (88 in April) and used 1,338 fewer substitutes over the school year; overtime and extra duty pay rose by $37,135 compared with May 2025, attributable in part to timing of TIA stipends and larger stipend payouts this year. Henson said there are 14 open positions at the time of the meeting and some hires pending background/reference checks.
He stated the district expects to come in under budget for overtime and extra duty pay after final June payouts and thanked staff for their efforts throughout the year.
