Superintendent reports graduation, $4.32M in scholarships and enrollment trends

Superintendent Jake Henson opened his report with student celebrations, including a graduation at Little Riders Academy and a Center High awards ceremony. He told trustees that Center High School has "101 seniors (or 71%) that will be graduating with nine or more hours of dual credit" and that students were awarded more than "$4,321,641 dollars" in scholarships (figures exclude Roughrider and Bone Hill scholarships).
Henson also reported attendance metrics: 94.08% for the 4th six weeks, 94.81% for the 5th six weeks, April at 95.2%, a year-to-date average of 94.88% and that "today’s attendance is over 96% across the District." He provided enrollment and staffing details: current enrollment 2,223 (down three from last month; down 28 from last year snapshot) and fewer staff and substitute usage declines compared with prior reporting periods.
