Board accepts resignation of CHS coach and approves new hires and leaves

The Center ISD Board approved multiple personnel actions on Jan. 14, 2026. Trustees voted to accept the resignation of Craig Hubbard, CHS teacher/coach; the motion to accept resignations was made by Trustee Casey Lout and seconded by Trustee Josh Burns and carried 7–0.
The board also approved employment of Charity Arwine as a teacher at Center Middle School on a motion by Trustee Casey Lout, seconded by Trustee Greg(g) Hubbard, and approved an extended emergency sick leave for Guadalupe Gonzalez, CES ISS Aide, on a motion by Trustee Casey Lout, seconded by Trustee Ben Wulf. All votes recorded were unanimous. The board additionally authorized the superintendent to accept resignations generally and approved a consultant agreement between Region 7 and Cody Fontaine.
