Bishop CISD authorizes superintendent to negotiate HVAC Phase 1 contract for Bond 2024

The Bishop Consolidated Independent School District board on Oct. 28 authorized the superintendent to negotiate an agreement with the top-ranked proposer for HVAC Improvements Phase 1 (Project #24.19A - Bond 2024). If the superintendent cannot reach an agreement with the top-ranked proposer, the board directed that negotiations may be terminated with that proposer and the superintendent may proceed to negotiate with the next-ranked proposer until an acceptable agreement is obtained. Trustee Rosie Elizondo moved the motion, Trustee Judy Murdoch seconded, and the board approved the authorization by a 6-0 vote.
The authorization gives the superintendent delegated authority to pursue procurement negotiations for bond-funded HVAC upgrades; the minutes record the project identifier (Project #24.19A) and associate it with Bond 2024 but contain no vendor names or negotiated contract terms in the public minutes. The motion was recorded under Agenda Item #9 and the vote was logged as AYE 6, NAY 0.
