Childress ISD selects BWG Architecture/Pierce Engineering for show-animal facility, adopts competitive bid method

The Childress Independent School District Board of Education on Feb. 13 voted unanimously to select BWG Architecture/Pierce Engineering to provide architectural and engineering services for the district's Show Animal/Meeting Facility Project (RFQ 2025-01A) and authorized the superintendent to negotiate a contract for later board approval.
Trustees also adopted Competitive Sealed Proposals as the construction delivery method for the same project and authorized the superintendent to prepare and issue Requests for Competitive Sealed Proposals. The procurement decision was made to move the project into the formal solicitation phase; both actions passed by a 6–0 vote (Motions #6169 and #6170). Mrs. Rabe moved the architectural services resolution, seconded by Mr. Bruce; Dr. Eric Green moved the construction-delivery motion, seconded by Mrs. Rabe.
Board minutes show the motions explicitly reference RFQ 2025-01A and authorize the superintendent to "take such actions as necessary to prepare and issue Requests for Competitive Sealed Proposals" and to negotiate a suitable contract with BWG Architecture/Pierce Engineering subject to final board approval. The decisions set the procurement path for the facility; the superintendent will return a negotiated contract and competitive-proposal documents to the board for subsequent consideration.
