Jan Miller sworn in as Lyndon Station trustee; board handles routine business

Jan Miller was sworn in as a village trustee at the Village of Lyndon Station board meeting on April 9, 2026; Michelle L. Klein, clerk/treasurer, administered the oath of office. President Bob Darnell called the meeting to order at 6:30 p.m., and the roster showed President Darnell and Trustees Rebecca Coley and Morgan Place present.
The board handled routine procedural business early in the meeting. Trustee Rebecca Coley moved to table approval of the March 9 and March 23, 2026 minutes until the next meeting; Trustee Jan Miller seconded and the motion carried unanimously. The agenda was approved on a motion by Trustee Coley, seconded by Trustee Miller. On financial business, Trustee Coley moved to approve the March 2026 Clerk/Treasurer report (President Darnell seconded); Trustee Miller abstained and the motion otherwise passed. Trustee Morgan Place moved to approve the March 2026 Water/Sewer payables report; President Darnell seconded and Trustee Miller again abstained.
In administrative action, President Darnell moved to authorize the clerk to assume control of the veterans memorial accounts; Trustee Miller seconded and the motion carried unanimously. The meeting minutes were submitted as "Respectfully submitted, Michelle L. Klein, Village Clerk/Treasurer."
