Flour Bluff ISD board approves multiple construction and technology contracts, opposes SB 11

At a regular meeting on Feb. 26, 2026, the Flour Bluff Independent School District Board of Trustees approved a series of contracts and resolutions tied to the district’s 2025 bond program and operations. The administration recommended, and the board approved, insurance coverage (including cyber insurance) for a premium of $114,602 and multiple construction and technology contracts; votes on those items were unanimous (6–0).
Board members also adopted a resolution opposing Senate Bill 11, which the administration recommended the board oppose, and separately approved a resolution supporting the Corpus Christi Army Depot (CCAD) and its workforce partnerships and regional economic impact. After a closed session that began at 7:13 p.m. and ended at 7:45 p.m., the board approved personnel recommendations including hires, transfers and contract actions, and set the next regular meeting for March 26, 2026.
"The administration recommends the Board of Trustees approve the general liability, educator's legal liability, cyber security, fleet liability and physical damage insurance for a premium of $114,602," district staff told the board as part of the insurance item.
