Fabens ISD says no bidders for forensic audit RFQ; staff to propose splitting scope

At the June 16 workshop, Ms. Silvia Nunez updated trustees on the district’s financial forensic audit request for qualifications (RFQ), reporting that the district "have had no response for the RFQ that was posted." She told trustees staff will ask the full board at the next regular meeting to consider separating the audit into different sections or components in hopes of attracting at least partial bids.
The proposal to split the RFQ would create smaller procurement packages so vendors might bid on portions of the forensic review rather than the entire engagement. No vendor responses were recorded at the workshop and no action was taken; trustees will consider the staff recommendation at a future meeting.
