The Forney ISD Board of Trustees accepted a donation from the NFHS Quarterback Club during its Feb. 3 regular meeting at the district administration board room. Kristin Zastoupil, Executive Director of Communications, presented the donation; Trustee Becky Dobbs moved to accept and Trustee Katrina Burkhalter seconded. The motion passed with a recorded result of "7 Approved, 0 Against; Motion Passes."
Trustees also recognized students and staff for recent achievements. Presentations included TAEA State Youth and TMEA All‑State musician honors by district fine and visual arts staff, and staff recognition for the district's designation as a Texas Thespians Premier Community for Theatre Education for 2024–2025. Robyn Pearce and Dr. Stormy Lemond presented community partnership acknowledgements such as Angel Tree and the EoSA Caudill Award. These recognitions were given as part of the meeting's scheduled agenda and required no board action.
