The Edna Independent School District Board of Trustees met Nov. 17, 2025 and approved several routine items and governance measures, recording unanimous 4-0 votes on multiple motions. Resolution 526680 approved the Oct. 20, 2025 meeting minutes, bills paid and TASB Policy Update 126 (motion by Kris Crenshaw; seconded by Donnie Mac Long). Resolution 526682 approved Lone Star Governance goals and superintendent constraints for November 2025 (motion by Brandon Peters; seconded by Donnie Mac Long). The meeting adjourned after an executive session at 7:35 p.m.
The board also approved Resolution 526683 to reappoint William Alex to the Appraisal District Board of Directors for a two-year term beginning Jan. 1, 2026 (motion by Donnie Mac Long; seconded by Sonny Strelec). The meeting record shows a reported perfect-attendance tally of 81 employees and a Cowboy Card recognition for Heather Black; academic reports for EAS, EHS, EJHS and EES were listed as 'None.'
