The Christoval Independent School District Board of Trustees certified the results of the Nov. 5, 2024 trustee election during its Nov. 19 regular meeting. Trustee Reid Stultz moved to accept the canvass, which the minutes record with candidate totals: Jana Aguirre 544; Cody J. Guins 527; Diego Cardona 511; Coco Simpson 459; Chase Ripley 363; Becky Kuykendall 361; Sarah Leggett 321; Aaron Abilez 246. The motion was seconded by Philip Kemp and carried unanimously.
Public notary and district secretary Toni McGimpsey administered the Oath of Office to incoming trustees Jana Aguirre, Diego Cardona and Cody J. Guins, each sworn for four-year terms from 2024 to 2028. Following the oath, trustees reorganized officer positions: Cody J. Guins moved to nominate Caleb Kattner for president, Reid Stultz for vice-president and Katy Capron for secretary; Jared Green seconded the motion, which carried unanimously.
The meeting minutes list the full board and district administrators present for the session. No contested canvass issues or challenges were recorded in the minutes.
