SHAC reports coordination with Chartwells on menus, plans triennial assessment

Angelica Smalley, a member of the School Health Advisory Council, updated trustees on SHAC activity at the Nov. 18 meeting. SHAC members have met twice this year and focused primarily on coordinating with Chartwells Child Nutrition on new breakfast and lunch menu items, the Pick 3 Program, and the concept of share tables.
Smalley said two meetings remain planned, including a Feb. 20 session to discuss next school year's health curriculum and to complete the triennial assessment of the Child Nutrition Wellness Program. The update was informational; no board action was required.
