The Gainesville ISD Board of Trustees voted Nov. 18 to approve a design agreement with Stantec Architecture for a junior-high library expansion and a secure vestibule.
Administrators described the project as an expansion and renovation of the existing library to accommodate three grade levels and current curriculum standards, plus a secure vestibule to enhance campus security. Design and construct secure vestibule for enhanced campus security," the agenda item reads. Corey Hardin moved and Phil Neelley seconded the motion; the board approved the agreement unanimously, 5–0.
The project joins other district facility efforts, including completion of the new administration building and phased auditorium renovations.
