Director of Special Education Dr. Saleha Sultan reported Aug. 22 that the Special Education Co-op had an "incredible start" to 2024–25 and credited co-op staff and the Transportation Departments of Fort Sam Houston, Lackland, and Randolph ISDs for coordinating student pick-ups and drop-offs across the military districts.
Dr. Sultan also commended Fort Sam Houston Elementary staff for providing a sensory-controlled environment during Meet the Teacher Night to allow special education students and families to participate; the board was shown a highlights video from the 2024 Extended School Year program as part of the presentation. No board action was required; the report was informational.
