Cole schools report smooth start to year; athletics and campus events outlined

The athletics report (provided on behalf of Director of Athletics Larry Norman) noted fall sports are underway, with a first cross-country meet Aug. 17 and a varsity volleyball tournament Aug. 23; the first football game is scheduled Aug. 30 vs. SA Memorial (the "Peanut Butter Bowl"). Interim Elementary Principal Julissa Fisher reported a smooth elementary start, a successful Meet-the-Teacher night Aug. 12, and a restructured Aug. 29 Parent Orientation that includes a sensory-friendly early hour for families of special-education students.
