Commissioners ratify multiple hires, promotions and resignations across county departments

Items included ratification of hiring Annette Gabelt as Custodial Worker I at $12.95/hour (effective March 23, 2026); ratification of Chad England as Grant/Tax/UPI Clerk at $19.97/hour (effective March 25, 2026), a consolidation described as creating cost savings; a promotion of Cameron Salopek to Dispatcher II ($22.49/hour, effective April 5, 2026); and approval of several FACT driver hires, transfers and resignations.
Commissioner Harry Dutch Kauffman clarified that the Grant/Tax/UPI Clerk consolidation reflects budgeted vacancies rather than new positions, and Commissioner Vince Vicites confirmed the positions were included in the budget. All personnel agenda additions were approved unanimously for placement on a future formal agenda.
