Goliad ISD approves $3.43 million GMP amendment for new elementary multipurpose building

Representatives from Weaver & Jacobs and BWA Architects presented a Guaranteed Maximum Price amendment for the Bond 2023 elementary multipurpose facility at the Nov. 11 meeting. The board had previously approved a shell GMP of $349,943; the amendment adds $3,081,218 for construction and build‑out, bringing the total GMP amendment to $3,431,161. Trustees approved the amendment by unanimous vote (6–0).
Project representatives in attendance included Brenden Morris and Randy Marek of Weaver & Jacobs and Jay Boytin of BWA Architects. The board asked clarifying questions about the scope of the work and then voted to accept the GMP amendment so the project can proceed.
