GCCISD board approves $41,000 Education Foundation donation, multiple procurement extensions and interlocal agreements

At its June 1 meeting the Goose Creek CISD Board of Trustees approved a multi-item consent agenda that included procurement contract extensions, MOUs and interlocal agreements and a donation allocation from the district's Education Foundation.
The board approved a $41,000 donation from the Goose Creek CISD Education Foundation designated from ExxonMobil, allocating $5,000 to the Robotics Program, $6,000 to MATHCounts and $30,000 to Science Department support. The consent agenda also authorized contract extensions and awards including fencing materials (CSP #25-007), fresh baked goods (RFP #25-009), beverage vending (RFP #24-009), catering (RFP #25-005), CTE equipment (RFP #25-004), fundraising items (RFP #25-006), generator maintenance (RFP #25-001), miscellaneous retail goods (RFP #25-002), and police/security equipment (RFP #25-003).
The board approved an MOU with Harris County Department of Education Highpoint East for alternative discipline placement for Level 4 and Level 5 infractions and approved the Harris County JJAEP MOU for the 2026–27 school year. The board also approved an interlocal agreement with the University of Texas at Austin for participation in the Regional Security Operations Center (RSOC). Item 2 (dual-credit innovative courses with Lee College) and item 14 (Chambers County mosquito control interlocal) were pulled from the consent bundle; item 2 was later approved after separate consideration and item 14 received no action.
