Superintendent Barrett Pollard told the board that once the district receives all new band uniforms and confirms no old uniforms are needed for practice, the district seeks flexibility to dispose of or sell the older uniforms. Options discussed included auctioning serviceable uniforms to other districts, selling parts as keepsakes to band alumni and discarding those that are tattered beyond keeping. "For the vast majority of the old uniforms that are still in good shape, we may want to auction those items hoping for some return," the minutes record.
The board approved the recommendation in a motion by Linda Maxwell, seconded by Cheyenne Kizer. The minutes do not record estimated proceeds or a timeline for sale; staff will proceed when new uniforms are in hand and needs are confirmed.
