The Goliad ISD Board of Trustees on Nov. 11 nominated and approved Trustee Sheila Edwards to serve as the district’s delegate to the Goliad Education Foundation. Trustee Mac Odem made the nomination and Justin Youngblood seconded; the motion carried 5–0 with one abstention and one absence.
Sheila Edwards abstained from the vote because she was the nominee. Board President Brandon Huber and other trustees emphasized that a school board member must serve on the Goliad Education Foundation board as part of ongoing community partnership work. The approval was recorded as Yea: 5, Nay: 0, Abstain (With Conflict): 1, Absent: 1.
