Board adopts TCOLE model policies for district law enforcement to meet upcoming deadlines

"Dr. Pollard recommended the board adopt the TCOLE model policies as presented so that the GISD police department meets their deadline for adoption requirement," the minutes state.
The board approved the recommendation in a motion by Mary Anne Leib, seconded by Calvin Ford; the recorded vote was unanimous among members present (6–0, 1 absent). The action ensures the district’s policy framework will align with state licensing and oversight expectations for school-based law enforcement.
