The Gainesville ISD Board approved on Oct. 21 the purchase and installation of eight 75-inch ViewSonic interactive panels from Piraino Consulting for $29,010.32. The procurement will place three panels at Gainesville Junior High and five at Gainesville High School in classrooms that currently lack interactive displays or projectors.
The approved package includes a PC to accompany each panel, full installation and vendor-provided training at no additional cost, the minutes say. Trustees voted 5–0 to accept Piraino Consulting’s proposal as the lowest bid; an alternate vendor (Bluum Technology) had quoted $34,853.56.
